16 Feb 1999 : Kalamazoo Wins 4th Straight MIAA Championship
In a battle of spirit, skill and endurance, the MIAA Men`s
Swimming & Diving Championship drew to a close this past Saturday
at the Dow Center of Hope College. When the dust cleared, the
defending champions, Kalamazoo College, had won their fourth
straight conference crown with 619.5 points.

The defending champions successfully defended their Michigan
Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) championships in competition
that concluded Saturday at Hope College.
Hope won its eighth consecutive women`s championship and the
college`s 17th in 19 years while Kalamazoo captured its fourth straight
men`s crown.

In the closest dual-meet in recent memory, the Kalamazoo
College Men`s Swimming & Diving team defeated Hope College
(Holland, MI) by a score of 124-115. Captain Jeff Kamai said, "to win a
close meet like this, after the amount of work we put in this week, is a
tremendous confidence builder for our team."

KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College Men`s Swimming and
Diving team opened its season with a victory against the Albion College
Brits saturday, before a full crowd at the Hornet`s Nest. "It was great to
